The Office of Mayor has many privileges and responsibilities. The distinct honor of our position is to be able to welcome you to the Brewton and East Brewton area. Numerous fine qualities generate our excitement for our wonderful region.
Having a population of approximately 8,000, we are nestled near the heart of Escambia County, Alabama, in service as the county seat. An industrial park is utilized by active industries and foresight was applied in the development of the park to have space available for future expansion. Our local school systems provide excellent instruction for our children. The area’s economic base is stable with a variety of thriving businesses and restaurants. City services provide superior fire protection ratings and high-quality public safety. Recreation and entertainment are available through yearly festivals, parks, Dogwood Hills Municipal Facility and a soon-to-be constructed elevated boardwalk along Burnt Corn Creek. Stately residential areas adorn our landscape with ties to the rich heritage of our past. Medical facilities provide comprehensive care for residents. Our living condition is definitely distinguished with enjoyment, comfort and opportunity.
Many factors contribute to the appeal of our area, but our greatest strength is our people. Our residents are the driving force behind the successes of our endeavors.
Words can only convey part of a reality. Whether you are relocating or just visiting, you will learn what our residents already know—we are fortunate to live in cities where our businesses and careers thrive, as well as enjoying what small-town living has to offer.
We hope to see you soon!
Honorable Ted Jennings, Mayor of Brewton
Honorable Terry Clark, Mayor of East Brewton
