Founded in 1905, Medical Center Enterprise began as a 10-bed hospital staffed by one physician. Today, Medical Center Enterprise is a modern, 131-bed, acute-care facility staffed by a team of more than 450, including 50 independent physicians.

As Enterprise has grown, so has Medical Center Enterprise, a 2004 renovation project created modern suites for newborns and their mothers. Another $5 million endeavor in 2006 resulted in the addition of 29 private patient rooms on the hospital’s fourth floor and the centralized location of diagnostic imaging services. Installation of a new, state-of-the-art GE HDX 1.5 Tesla magnet in 2008 made Medical Center Enterprise one of the first hospitals in the region with breast MRI capability. With this advanced technology, vascular and body imaging is now available as well.

In May 2012 Medical Center Enterprise constructed a $5.2 million expansion, adding on a two-story building called the Women’s Center just for mothers and their new babies. The private wing has an entire first floor waiting area, and the second floor houses five labor and delivery rooms and 13 private postpartum rooms.

Twenty-four-hour emergency, obstetrics, gynecology, inpatient and outpatient surgery, diagnostics, orthopedics, pain management, endoscopy and physical therapy are just a few of the services provided by Medical Center Enterprise.

Enterprise is also home to several medical clinics, outpatient services, specialists and dentists. The city has a 24-hour emergency ambulance and rescue service, E-911, several assisted living facilities and an adult day care.
