Chamber Welcome
Welcome to Monroeville/Monroe County, Alabama—“A Novel Setting.” As I write this letter, the Monroe County Heritage Museums has just completed its seasonal performances of “To Kill A Mockingbird.” The Alabama Writers Symposium has experienced another successful season and visitors galore have poured into Monroeville for play performances, and lingered to shop and visit historic points in the county.
On the business front, International Sign & Design continues its aggressive expansions and the city/county governments and Coastal Gateway are working together to market attractive available buildings and properties. With Thyssen-Krupp’s building underway to the south, and the EADS/Northrup Grumman expansion announced in Mobile, Monroeville/Monroe County and the entire south Alabama region are preparing for growth.
