Worship

There are over 100 churches in Ozark and Dale County, representing many denominations. Religion has played a large part in the area’s development, and the community still values the services that each church provides and contributes to the community. Many churches that date back to the 1800s are still active, including Claybank Church, built in 1852, the oldest original church building standing today in the southern region.

In addition, there are a number of active groups, including civic clubs and community organizations, that are devoted to creating a stronger interfaith community, providing leadership and helping the needy.
