Chamber Welcome
Dear Reader,
It is with great pleasure that the Tallassee Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to Tallassee, Alabama, and we look forward to sharing the “Treasure on the Tallapoosa” with you.
The Chamber is involved with many aspects of our community. Our primary goal is to encourage the growth of established and new businesses and to improve our community’s quality of life.
We are very proud of our old mill town charm and the eagerness of the city to move forward with a new vision. We are working together to make Tallassee not only a destination but also a community of choice that attracts people to live, work and raise children here. Currently we are in the planning and phasing stages of developments on the east and west banks of the Tallapoosa. These developments will include retail and living spaces. Our city government is currently dedicated to the revitalization of our retail areas and infrastructure.
Our school systems, healthcare facilities and industrial base add stability to our town. The arts are well represented through the McCraney-Cottle Arts Council and our Local Street Artists. Our outstanding police and fire departments ensure we are a safe town where you can feel comfortable leaving doors and windows open to enjoy the country air or taking an evening stroll.
