

- Small businesses (those with fewer than 100 employees) automatically become members of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, which offers a lot of training opportunities, discounts on products and services and other benefits.
- Many opportunities to network with people in the same or different businesses. Special after-hours networking events are held several times each year, and these offer a great opportunity to market yourself and your business.
- Two listings in the Chamber’s Membership Directory, one in the alphabetical section, the other in the business category section.
- Access to new databases that can provide a business with all sorts of information, demographics, consumer and business data and planning and research materials for decision-making.
- Access to the Members Only area of the Chamber’s website, which last year received more than two million visits. The Members Only section has such things as on-line training, job-posting capability, a newcomers’ list and much more, that is available to “Members Only.”
- Referrals to business members by the Chamber staff. When someone inquires about a specific kind of business and how to get in touch with that business, the Chamber refers only Chamber member businesses.
- Member-to-member discounts from other Chamber members. About 20 members now offer discounts, and the number is growing.
- Access to the Chamber’s Business Resource Center, which includes a wide variety and number of resource documents, manuals and books. Also available are several computer stations with access to the Internet, which can also be used to compare different kinds of Internet access.
- Training opportunities in the technology arena and on business issues of many kinds. Cost for Chamber members is nominal—half of what is charged non-members, and much lower than can be found on the open market.
- Since all employees of a member business are considered Chamber members, all employees can take advantage of Chamber programs, training and activities. A great employee benefit! Access to professionals that can help a business with technology, marketing, public relations and other issues to help grow your business.
- Access to the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) who are experienced business people that can offer good counsel and advice to a new or struggling business.
- Price matching/discounts on new-member ads in many local media outlets.
- Professional staff helps with ceremonies such as ribbon-cuttings, openings and groundbreakings.
- Regular communications including weekly e-newsletters, a monthly e-magazine and other business and legislative alerts, as well as personal contact from our Ambassadors.
- Business advocacy at City Hall, the County Courthouse, the State Capitol and in Washington, D.C. Your membership strengthens the “voice of business” through the Chamber.
