Continued growth is on the horizon for the Colorado River Valley.

The region’s largest employers — the resort, healthcare, government and education sectors — are continuing to invest in infrastructure and new services, betting on continued economic growth. Based on sales tax collections data, the finance, insurance and real estate industry group showed a 36 percent increase last year, while retail trade was up by 21 percent.

Service industry income grew by 19 percent and the manufacturing industry showed a giant 113 percent increase. This shows the region’s continued commitment toward bringing new industry to the area, evidenced by growth in existing businesses, as well as investment in the construction of new industrial park space.
