Bullhead City Higher Education

mcc

The Bullhead City campus of Mohave Community College (MCC) is a two-year, fully-accredited public college serving more than 6,000 students at its four campus locations. Located at the south end of Bullhead City at the intersection of Highway 95 and the Bullhead City Parkway, MCC provides courses that are diverse and selected to serve the needs of the community.

Students have the opportunity to earn an associate’s degree or a certificate degree in a specific career or technical field, with most of these programs offering completion within two years or less. A new health services building houses nursing, dental hygiene and emergency medical service classes. Students can save up to an average of $6,000 each year by attaining a degree at MCC as opposed to a four-year university or college. Another benefit to enrolling at MCC is the variety of choices in learning – in class during the days or evenings, via multi-media programs, online courses or a combination.

Northern Arizona University (NAU) offers a Distance Learning site in Bullhead City, which is one of three sites within Mohave County. More than 15 undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates can be completed at NAU’s Distance Learning on-site campus, while more than 50 can be completed online.

And only a short drive from Bullhead City will bring students to several prestigious higher learning institutions. The University of Nevada-Las Vegas, serving more than 28,000 students from all over the world and equipped with more than 3,300 faculty and staff, is only 60 miles from Bullhead City. Sitting upon a 350-acre campus, the university offers more than 220 undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral degree programs, as well as 16 NCAA/Division 1 Intercollegiate Level sports.

Bullhead City residents can also reach Linda Loma University, a private, health-sciences institution with 3,906 students in more than 109 degree and certificate programs in eight schools, and the University of California-Riverside, a 1,200-acre campus serving 16,826 students in 78 undergraduate majors, 50 Master’s and 38 doctoral programs.
