
The arts are alive and well in the Colorado River Valley through the work of a number of organizations, individuals and businesses in the region.
Mohave Community College
The Bullhead City Campus of Mohave Community College, in partnership with area arts organizations, provides cultural enriching programs throughout the year. Music, dance, theater and visual arts are presented at area venues and schools through programs such as “Artists in the Classroom,” “Celebration of Heritage,” “Character Counts,” and "Talking Loudly in the Library." Colorado River Concerts
Colorado River Concert Association, a volunteer non-profit organization, offers an exciting selection of concerts each season at very affordable prices, from folk to operatic singers, dance and instrumentalists. For more information, call (928) 763-3581.
River Valley Artist Guild
This local organization holds exhibitions and shows throughout the region each year. River Valley Artist Guild is a nonprofit organization with a mission to encourage individual efforts and community interest in the creative arts. Every year the guild sponsors local arts programs including high school and community college arts scholarships, a high school art show, the Annual Black Mountain Art Show and the Arts and Crafts Fair held during Hardyville Days at Bullhead Community Park each October.
Laughlin Resorts
Several of the Laughlin casino resorts offer regular concert series featuring big-name entertainment from rock and roll to country music to comedy. Well-known entertainers like Debbie Reynolds, Wynona Judd, Mel Tillis, Ricky Van Shelton, The Smothers Brothers, The Lettermen, and Jeff Foxworthy are featured regularly on stages throughout the Laughlin casino district, along with rock groups like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Styx, Eddie Money and the Doobie Brothers. Variety shows, comedy showcases and talent shows featuring local residents are featured in cabarets, nightclubs and amphitheaters throughout the year.
