Government
Chino Valley has a Council-Manager form of government. This consists of a mayor, vice-mayor and five council members. The council meets on a regular basis every second and fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall (1020 West Palomino Road). These meetings are taped and available for public viewing on Chino Valley’s Government Access Channel 13. This channel also provides residents access to forums, local parades and festivities, local theater productions, special presentations and public service announcements.
The Chino Valley Fire District serves the community through “prevention, protection and education.” The Fire District offers public education and safety awareness to all citizens who live within the fire district. Such programs include CPR & First Aid, Fire Safety, the Junior Fire Setter Program and Fire Extinguisher Training.
Law enforcement is handled by the Chino Valley Police Department and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department. Both are proudly supported by volunteer search and rescue teams. Dispatchers are on-call 24 hours a day to receive 9-1-1 calls. The dispatchers determine the type of assistance needed and send emergency personnel to police, fire and medical emergencies.
