Chino Valley Parks and Recreation

Both indoor and outdoor recreation is abundant in Chino Valley, perfect for the active and the passive leisure enthusiast. The community is home to two parks: Memory Park and Community Center Park. Memory Park spans over 2.4 acres, equipped with a ramada for picnicking, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, bocce and basketball courts and plenty of open space for some R&R. Currently undergoing rehabilitation, Community Center Park is comprised of lit ball fields, used for league and tournament play, a skate park and an aquatic center.

Spanning 880 acres, Old Home Manor is the site of the Susan A. Williams Equestrian facility. At this time, the Chino Valley Parks and Recreation Department oversees a 3.75-acre, regulation sized baseball field at Old Home Manor.

For the golf enthusiast, Antelope Hills Golf Course is made up of two beautiful, traditional courses. The golf course is host to more than 200 tournaments and events annually, including the Arizona Golf Association’s Father/Son Tournament, Northern Arizona Amateur Tournament, Arizona State Boys Championship, Southwest Section PGA State Junior Championship and a wealth more.

Three further golf courses are located a stone’s throw away from Chino Valley as well.

The 1.25 million-acre Prescott National Forest is nearby, bounded by three additional national forests, including Kalbab National Forest, Coconino National Forest and Tonto National Forest. Campers can find 10 campgrounds, with four group reservation campgrounds, while the day picnickers have access to seven picnic areas and two group reservation picnic areas. Prescott National Forest has nearly 450 miles of trails used for hiking, backpacking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Additional recreational opportunities afforded at the national forest include hang gliding, rock climbing, bouldering and white water rafting – sure to get the adrenaline rushing!
