Shopping & Dining

historic downtown

Clothing, jewelry, antiques, original art, pottery, Native American craftwork–you can find it all in Flagstaff.

Our historic downtown, a former Main Street community, is lined with small boutiques, trading posts and shops. Flagstaff also has a large artist community, with close to 100 studios throughout town that offer a diverse array of art forms. Original oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings; traditional hand-blown glass; mixed-media creations; photography; ceramics; textiles and quilts can all be purchased in Flagstaff.

Downtown Flagstaff is a great place to begin shopping. It is full of small boutiques with the creations of Native American and local artisans. The First Friday Art Walks each month are hosted by several downtown galleries and other businesses. The variety of art and products is a wonderful representation of Northern Arizona.

Additionally, there are several strip malls and shopping centers throughout the town. Route 66, South Milton Road, Cedar Street, Woodlands Village Boulevard and many other locations offer excellent shopping and dining opportunities. There are both mom-and-pops stores and nationally known entities throughout the city.

Flagstaff Mall

On the east side of town, the Flagstaff Mall underwent a renovation and added several hundred thousand square feet of retail space in the adjoining Marketplace. The Home Depot, Best Buy, Marshalls, Old Navy and CostPlus World Market are among the new stores at the Marketplace.

For dining, Flagstaff offers an eclectic variety of culinary experiences, from Southwest cuisine to specialty restaurants and wine bars, with some of our restaurants gaining national and international fame.

Brix Restaurant and Wine Bar was named one of the “Top 95 New Restaurants in the World” by Conde Nast Traveler in 2007. Meanwhile, both Brandy’s Restaurant and Bakery and Salsa Brava were recently featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” the popular Food Network show hosted by Guy Fieri.
