Agriculture and mining are the primary industries in Graham County.
The Gila River flood plain is a rich, deep soil repository of nutrients that produces abundant crops. Cotton production is a major source of employment and spin-off industries. The county supports two major farm machinery companies, John Deere and International Harvester. In addition to cotton, area crops include tomatoes, apples, pecans and small grains.
