Location and Transportation

Located in the heart of Arizona’s “Sun Corridor,” Marana is in an ideal location for responsible growth in the coming years.

The “Sun Corridor,” which stretches from the Mexico border to north of Phoenix, has been projected to grow by more than 60 percent between 2000 and 2025. Marana, which measures a little more than 120 square miles in size, has been one of the fastest-growing cities or towns in the state since 2000.

Marana is bisected by 18 miles of Interstate 10, allowing for easy access from one side of town to the other. Infrastructure upgrades over the past few years, including the opening of the Twin Peaks Interchange on I-10, have improved access between the town’s two largest residential areas – Continental Ranch and Dove Mountain.

Daily Sun Shuttle bus service to routes throughout the Tucson valley includes several stops in Marana.

Marana Regional Airport is a general aviation facility that has more than 110,000 combined takeoffs and landings every year. It also serves as a reliever airport for Tucson International, which is served by eight airlines with 65 daily nonstop flights to 15 destinations.

Amtrak offers service out of Tucson.
