Arts and Entertianment

Show Low has access to a variety of art groups, venues and festivals for entertainment. The Silver Creek Performing Arts Association sponsors and hosts local theaters and choirs, as well as a number of special events. The Silver Creek Little Theatre and the Silver Creek Community Choir are part of the organization, offering diverse performances of classic and modern works. Also in the area is the White Mountain Symphony Orchestra, performing a diverse array of productions. If you get a chance, one of the locals’ favorites is listening to the sounds of the White Mountain Big Band.

Hon-Dah Resort Casino

A popular site for entertainment is the Hon-Dah Resort Casino and Conference Center in nearby Pinetop. The award-winning casino houses slot machines, Blackjack tables, a Poker room, as well as a children’s arcade area and the full-service Indian Pines Restaurant and Timber Lounge, which offers live entertainment six nights a week. A host of events and festivals are located on the casino grounds, including outdoor concerts and the Pow Wow in the Pines.

Many local annual events bring the community together throughout the year. Perhaps the biggest event in Show Low is the Show Low Days Still Cruizin annual antique car show with close to 300 entries and over 100 vendors surround the Show Low City park with thousand in attendance each day. Another growing event is the Fourth of July Freedom Festival, located in the Show Low City Park. The event features arts and crafts, food vendors, games, entertainment, and barbecue. The Fourth of July Parade in Show Low, a definite must-see, is an extensive parade that travels down the Deuce of Clubs each year. To culminate the festival, at the end of the night, the Chamber of Commerce presents a beautiful fireworks display that thrills the young and old.
