What a great time to be a member of the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce!
There is no better time than now to be a member of our Chamber. The Chamber has participated and been a voice in numerous positive actions within our community, especially during 2008. We have worked with the Saline County Economic Development Corporation on several requests for proposals. We have assisted the City of Benton in drafting economic incentives for new and existing businesses. We have provided our existing membership with opportunities to network, grow and showcase their businesses.
Our staff and volunteers have worked hard in providing our community a professional Chamber for all to use. Executive Director Eddie Black and Executive Assistant Jerry Beaty have done a fantastic job in bringing our Chamber into the 21st century by upgrading our computers and software to the ChamberMaster operating system as well as overseeing the renovation of our Chamber offices. We have quickly become a well-respected, recognized and appreciated organization in our community and will continue to be for years to come. It is definitely a busy and exciting time in the Chamber’s life!
Our community is also experiencing a positive momentum. Benton Public Schools are in the process of a $30 million construction and renovation project to school facilities. The City of Benton has recently completed a $26 million utility project that will accommodate the growth of Benton for at least the next decade. First year events such as the Wally Hall Tournament of Champions and Staycation have provided wonderful opportunities for our community to stay and play in Benton, and at the same time increased sales revenues for our local businesses.
