Camden is blossoming with entertainment venues ranging from annual festivals to parades, historic home tours, a historic museum, and numerous church-sponsored events for people of all races and faiths.

The 70-member South Arkansas Symphony Guild presents many concerts each year in Camden and the surrounding areas. Camden residents also enjoy community concerts, plays, and art exhibits on a regular basis. Check out some of these opportunities:

Daffodil Festival

Daffodil Festival: Second weekend in March. The Daniel Estate enables visitors to see approximately two million blooming daffodils while enjoying local entertainment and numerous craft and food vendors. Garden and cemetery tours are also included, as well as a 5K run, steak cookoff, civil war encampment and pancake breakfast.

Business and Professional Women’s Barn Sale: Last Saturday in September. More than 150 craft and food vendors surround the historic Tate Barn to welcome approximately 10,000 guests per year. Musical entertainment as well as children’s activities are also available, as well as a 5K run, antique car show, and pancake breakfast.

Downtown Trick or Treat: October 31. Main Street Camden merchants pass out candy to local children who visit their stores.

Christmas Open House: Second Sunday in November. Tour local gift shops and floral shops to see the new Christmas ideas and decorations for the season while enjoying refreshments.

Christmas Parade: First Tuesday night in December.

When it comes to history, the McCollum-Chidester House Museum owned by the Ouachita County Historical Society attracts a healthy share of curious visitors. The Museum of Natural Resources is located in Smackover, only 18 miles away.
