Named “the best downtown in Arkansas” by the Arkansas Times, El Dorado's historic downtown area provides unique specialty shops. Expect to find a diverse mix of collectibles, upscale clothing and shoes, health food, gourmet coffees, golf accessories and a host of other goods and services. Downtown restaurants offer a variety of food choices as well — sip a cappuccino at the deli or grab a Main Street cookie to take on your way. A Farmer's Market is open for business Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from May through October.
Located on Highway 167B (North West Avenue), a mixture of national chain stores and locally owned businesses sell clothing, furniture, home and gift items, building materials, office supplies and sporting goods. A variety of restaurants also line this popular stretch of highway through El Dorado.
Antique lovers will find a number of antique stores and flea markets scattered across the city. As you shop the businesses of El Dorado, you will find southern hospitality at its finest.
