NORTH ARKANSAS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER (NARMC)
Established in 1950, the 174-bed North Arkansas Regional Medical Center offers Harrison and its neighboring communities a comprehensive list of healthcare services within its modern medical center at 620 North Main. NARMC is equipped with over 600 employees and 86 members on the medical staff, all dedicated to providing only the highest quality in patient care. The hospital stands as one of the largest employers in the area and has remained a top choice for medical care since its opening nearly 60 years ago.
The hospital’s impressive selection of healthcare services includes such centers of excellence as the Center for Women’s Health, as well as the Claude Parrish Radiation Therapy Institute. Additional services accessed through NARMC include everything from cancer, cardiac, surgery and rehabilitation to radiology, emergency medicine, home health, critical care and educational resources. AREA HEALTH EDUCATION CENTER (AHEC-NW)
The Area Health Education Center is a non-profit partnership between several significant healthcare entities, including AHEC-NW Fayetteville, North Arkansas College, NARMC, Boone County Hometown Health Improvement Coalition and additional local organizations. The center provides excellent, convenient educational programs and services to those in the healthcare field at an affordable price.
BOONE COUNTY HEALTH UNIT
Located at 1622 Campus Drive in Harrison, the Boone County Health Unit stands as an exceptional local health resource through its offerings of a variety of medical services and programs. Individuals and families take advantage of such services as family planning, home health, immunizations, community health education, clinics and more.
