Agoura Hills is located off the 101 Freeway just 35 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. It is 45 miles from Los Angeles International Airport and 22 miles from Burbank Airport. The city borders the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and is 13 miles from the beaches in Malibu. It is 5 miles from the San Fernando Valley, 30 miles from Santa Monica, and 58 miles from Santa Barbara.
Agoura Hills is served by MTA bus lines and the LADOT commuter busses. The city has its own Dial-a-ride bus service and a "Beach Bus" that provides inexpensive summer transportation to the beach. For those who prefer an alternate mode of travel, the city also has an extensive network of bicycle and equestrian paths.
The Agoura Hills Dial-A-Ride will transport passengers anywhere within the city limits, and various unincorporated areas as well as the Great American Stage Bus Stop. Dial-A-Ride will also transport seniors to Fitzgerald Senior Center, Los Robles Hospital, Oaks Mall, or medical facilities in Thousand Oaks.
