Shopping anyone? Barstow is a famous destination point for bargain seekers throughout Southern California, thanks to the Tanger Outlet Center and The Barstow Outlets located off I-15.

Between the two centers they have dozens of brand-name stores from around the globe. The Barstow Outlets has the distinction of being the first of its kind on the West Coast.

Most guests leave bragging about saving between 25 and 70 percent off famous name brands on everything from clothing to furniture. The good times don’t end there. Treasure seekers also find their way to Barstow’s Main Street to check out the antique stores and thrift shops, or visit the World Famous Barstow Station to browse the gift shops.

The Main Street (Historic Route 66) development project is packed with 285 acres of retail opportunities that support the community by keeping the economy strong and shoppers smiling. Souvenirs can also be found at the local museums and the Barstow Chamber office located in the historic Harvey House.

With a population of 60,000 within the retail service area, and a median age of 34, the area supports adequate grocery stores, pharmacies, auto dealers and other necessities.
