Imperial Valley is the heart of one of the most scenic desert areas in the great Southwest. Brawley is located at a strategic point in the Valley, at the center of the most fertile agricultural area in the world.

Brawley, located at the intersection of State Highways 86, 111 and 78, is easily accessible from the coastal areas as well as from the inner California and Arizona desert areas. Highway 86 is a continuous four-lane expressway from the Coachella Valley and construction is currently underway to convert Highway 111 into a four-lane expressway from Brawley to the Mexican Border.

Brawley is 30 miles north of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico; 90 miles southeast of Palm Springs; 126 miles east of San Diego; 210 miles southeast of Los Angeles and 255 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona. It is 15 miles from El Centro, the county seat of Imperial County.

TRANSPORTATION

Brawley offers passenger air service from Imperial County’s Boley Field Airport, 12 miles south of town. The regularly scheduled service offers direct flights to San Diego, Los Angeles, Ontario and Yuma, with connections worldwide.

For industry, The Union Pacific Railroad offers mainline services to Portland, St. Louis, Rock Island, Tucumcari and New Orleans.

In addition, most industrially zoned sites in Brawley offer direct rail access.
