Locals are fortunate to have the advantages of small-town living with all the amenities associated with big-city life. The city is proud of its small-town heritage while meeting the demands of everyday living.
The success of Clovis is shown in the continued growth of the city. The past decade has seen greater expansion. In 1995, Clovis covered just over 15 square miles with a population of approximately 64,000. By 2011, the city had expanded to nearly 25 square miles with a population exceeding 98,000. Clovis has welcomed and encouraged this growth while protecting the Clovis way of life.
Clovis continues to expand to meet the needs of its residents with new schools and retail areas. Newcomers will be delighted with the school district – a gem within the state. There is no shortage of things to do and see. Cultural activities abound with natural resources at every turn.
Visitors will find a welcoming, friendly environment while discovering the many jewels of the area. Day trips to the mountains and seaside are possible, along with many afternoons enjoying local museums, recreational opportunities, shops and dining establishments. Take a moment to look over the calendar as Clovis is known for its annual festivals and events.
