Responsible for the wellness of the Crescenta Valley and its surrounding communities for over 35 years, the 158-bed Verdugo Hills Hospital is a non-profit medical center that hails as the sole independent, freestanding hospital in this foothill region. Patients and visitors can expect prime healthcare and high-quality service in a comfortable and private environment within the hospital, which is situated in the foothills between Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge.

Verdugo Hills Hospital serves nearly 200,000 residents with a multitude of health services including acute care, cardiac rehabilitation, home care, critical care, emergency services, gastroenterology services, geropsychiatric care, laboratory and medical imaging services, orthopedic services, wound care, physical medicine and rehabilitation and a number of community and educational programs. The medical center is also home to the Beginnings Family Birth Center.

The hospital is continually updating its facilities and offerings, with the most recent happenings including the expansion of its Emergency Department in 2003, the modernization of its Gastroenterology Department in 2005 and the introduction of the ACCESS Digital Imaging and Records System in 2005 as well.

Through all of this and more, it is no wonder Verdugo Hills Hospital has been recognized as the “Foothills’ Best” for four consecutive years by the readers of the Glendale News-Press.
