Located in nearby Indio, John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital is a 162-bed facility that is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Desert Regional Medical Center, JFK Memorial’s sister hospital, is a 371-bed acute care facility located in Palm Springs. The Center’s Richards Emergency/Trauma Services is the Coachella Valley’s only designated trauma center. The hospital offers a vast array of specialty services – including the International Heart Institute of Palm Springs, Comprehensive Cancer Centers of the Desert, Women and Infant Center, the Valley’s only acute inpatient rehabilitation unit, home health and hospice services, the Arthritis Institute and the Health Key Plus senior program.
Both JFK and Desert Regional Medical Center are part of Tenet California, the state’s largest hospital system.
