The Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital opened in 2003, as the Fresno Heart Hospital, solely providing cardiovascular surgery and procedures. However, in early 2006, services at the north Fresno hospital were expanded to include bariatric and general surgery. Consistent with its mission to provide exceptional care, the hospital expanded to include surgery performed using minimally invasive techniques. The state-of-the-art facility provides advanced technology and offers all-private patient rooms. Two new operating suites were added in 2008 as part of an $8.3 million expansion project at Fresno Heart & Surgical as well as a 144-seat education center. The new operating rooms allow the hospital known for its hotel-like atmosphere and customer service to perform up to 2,400 more surgeries a year, doubling its previous numbers.
Clovis Community Medical Center is often Valley residents’ first choice for women’s services, advanced surgeries and comprehensive care. In 2008 it began Phase 1 of a two-part project that includes a $20 million, 22,500-square-foot expansion for the outpatient care center. The first floor includes expansion of the Marjorie E. Radin Breast Care Center and a dedicated four-room endoscopy suite with pre-operative, post-operative, recovery and exam rooms. The second floor features four new operating rooms including pre-operative, post-operative and recovery areas, as well as the most advanced in-vitro fertilization center between Los Angeles and San Francisco. New parking areas have been added for patients’ convenience.

Phase 2 future expansion plans include a new five-story bed tower featuring all-private rooms, which will double the number of inpatient beds and expand the number of valuable ICU rooms, while maintaining the warm, comfortable environment of the current hospital. The Emergency Department expansion calls for nearly doubling the number of treatment rooms to 38. Plans include 12 new state-of-the-art, in-patient surgical suites, doubling the total number of operating rooms to 22. Our littlest patients and their moms will have a new special care nursery in the Women’s and Infant’s Pavilion. This eight-bed unit will serve babies needing more specialized care. An array of other women’s services and surgeries in addition to birthing will be offered–all in accommodations suited for women and their families. A new three-story parking structure will be built near the main entrance.
