Fresno actively supports nonprofit organizations. Since 1924, United Way of Fresno County has been building a healthy community by maximizing resources, both financial and human. United Way of Fresno County assists a wide range of nonprofit organizations and institutions meet real human needs. Many area organizations are Endorsed Partners with United Way of Fresno County. United Way of Fresno County provides technical assistance to its endorsed partners, helping to improve their infrastructure and linkages. When it comes to solving community problems such as abuse, emergency relief, crime or healthcare, United Way of Fresno County and its endorsed partners work together to develop and enforce timely permanent solutions.
