Fresno is a shining example of people coming together from different races, age groups, genders and socioeconomic status to make the city they reside in a better place to live in, so it makes sense that its citizens belong to a wide variety of faiths and religious institutions, too.
Over 85 ethnic groups reside in the city of Fresno, which are served by numerous houses of worship and faith-based organizations working to bring people together. Many of these organizations are considered both non-denominational and cross-cultural.
Fresno was chosen as an All American City by the National Civic League largely due to the city’s acceptance of a variety of faiths. The National Civic League recognized Fresno’s numerous faith-based initiatives that work diligently to improve the quality of life for people all across the city.
