Bright and playful color schemes dominate throughout the hospital, with each room set up to remind the patient of his or her own room at home. For those children requiring an extended stay, classrooms, play areas, visitors rooms, and video rooms allow for a more comfortable stay during an often stressful time in their young lives. Making VCH one of the premier medical facilities in the nation is its staff of doctors and nurses. Considered by many to be among the best in the world, the medical staff at VCH strives to make each child feel like they are receiving the best possible care available, while minimizing concerns of worried parents and families. Valley Children’s physicians practice in over 36 sub-specialties covering nearly all aspects of advanced pediatric care. The hospital features Level III Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Intensive Care Units, as well as the only Pediatric Trauma Receiving Center between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
