Faith: Fostering Togetherness
A spiritual revival is at the heart of a growing number of churches sprouting up in the Fresno area. Addressing spiritual and community needs, Fresno’s churches are leading the way to a better way of life for the residents of Fresno. Christian cooperation and brotherly love are not the exception, but the rule for the faithful of Fresno. The city is blessed with a strong base of people who believe that it is not what you take from the community but what you give back that makes the difference in the lives of others.
Cornerstone Church in downtown Fresno is at the forefront of this philosophy of giving back to the community by utilizing various programs and services that meet the needs of the residents of Fresno. A monthly feeding program, “Feeding Fresno,” draws thousands of people in need to its doors, while dramas and plays provide an effective avenue of ministry to those who require an unorthodox approach. Cornerstone Church has plans to facilitate its vision of community ministry by building new or renovating existing buildings along a two-block corridor in downtown Fresno. Assemblies of God, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Protestant and Roman Catholic are among the denominations that can be found in Fresno.
