For 50 years, St. Rose Hospital has provided quality healthcare to Hayward and the surrounding community, with more than 1,000 employees and 350 physicians. With the addition of 30 state-of-the art private patient suites, St. Rose has grown into a 217-bed, acute care facility that offers comprehensive healthcare programs and services. Diagnostic Imaging services include the latest in digital technology, including a new 320-slice CT scanner and women’s imaging services for digital breast imaging, bone mineral density testing and diagnostic ultrasound.

St. Rose Hospital now has an Urgent Care Center to complement the hospital’s existing services, which include 24-hour emergency care, Medical/Surgical, Occupational Health, Silva Pediatric Clinic and a Skilled Nursing Unit. The hospital has an extensive Community Education department offering classes, support groups and community outreach programs. As a Center of Excellence for Cardiac Care, St. Rose Hospital is a designated Cardiac Receiving Center providing emergency lifesaving angioplasties for immediate treatment of heart attacks.
Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation’s leading integrated health plans, is a nonprofit group practice prepayment program encompassing a wealth of facilities in Hayward. The 208-bed Kaiser Permanente Hayward Medical Center has been serving its membership in Southern Alameda County for nearly 50 years, boasting a medical staff of 265 physicians and a full spectrum of health services.

Eden Medical Center is an award-winning, 271-bed, full-service medical center. Eden’s Centers of Excellence include neurosciences, critical care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, breast imaging, birthing center, women's health, stroke care, adult psychiatry and cancer care. Eden is also the Regional Trauma Center for Southern Alameda County and part of the Sutter Health family. A new state-of-the-art hospital to replace the current building is slated to open its doors at the end of 2012.
Bay Valley Medical Group offers an array of primary and specialty medical care. Some of its services include internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, urgent care, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, podiatry, radiology and counseling. Health Innovations L.P. provides screenings, treatment and nutrition for women’s health and diabetic patients. DaVita Inc., a leading provider of kidney care in the U.S., provides dialysis services at three Hayward locations.
In addition to these facilities is the Life West Chiropractic College Health Center, located on the teaching facility campus in Hayward. Senior interns are directed by licensed chiropractors at the clinic, which provides affordable services to those in need of chiropractic care.
