The mining industry laid the foundation for current-day Irwindale’s economy, and while it still plays a significant role in the community, more and more manufacturing and high-tech-based companies are locating here.
The modern, 2.1 million-square-foot Irwindale Business Center harbors many of these newer businesses. Located in the center of the city, this master-planned business development features first-class industrial spaces, retail and dining establishments along Arrow Highway.
A diverse mix of more than 700 businesses and industries have made a home in Irwindale. The city continues to attract and retain businesses of all types and sizes, with major employers, such as Ready Pac Produce, MillerCoors, Southern California Edison, the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale and Breeders Choice Pet Food, employing many of the area’s more than 40,000 employees.
