The City of Irwindale and Los Angeles County each maintain parks and recreation departments, which provide exceptional recreational spaces, facilities and programs.

The county operates the Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area in Irwindale. Situated at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, this 835-acre site is home to a 70-acre lake, ideal for fishing and boating, miles of multi-use trails, a nature center, large picnic areas, a five-acre swim beach and the Water Play Area. In addition, the original Renaissance Pleasure Faire operates at the Santa Fe Dam weekends during April and May.
The Toyota Speedway at Irwindale is an exciting motorsports and entertainment facility complete with twin paved oval race tracks and a 1/8-mile drag strip. The speedway’s schedule is filled with live stock car, sprint car, supermodified, truck and other race events, along with a concert series.
History buffs will revel in the beautiful architecture of the Divine Savior Presbyterian Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission, a city-owned historical landmark. The city is also highlighted by the Veterans Monument, dedicated on Veterans Day of 2007. The monument honors those who have served and are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
