I am truly honored to continue to serve the Chamber and our community as your 2015 Chairman of the Board. I am joined by a diverse Board of Directors whom represents our vibrant business and residential community. Volunteers are the life blood of any community and I thank you for taking on this challenge to work towards the betterment of our entire community.
The New Year always brings personal and professional resolutions and goals for the coming year. If I have learned anything this past year it is that life is indeed unpredictable and it is our job to look to the small victories, those moments of grace and love and keep moving forward. So, we will take pride in our victories: Fiesta Days, a robust Farmers Market, monthly business mixers, Smart Marketing workshops, Festival in Lights, the local students who excel each summer as Business Interns, our second annual movie premier and of course, representing our Chamber at the many City Council and Commission meetings. New this August, the Chamber will be co-hosting the Crescenta Valley Sheriff Support Group Annual Golf Tournament to be held at La Cañada Flintridge Country Club.
We will however, not stop here. In order for our Chamber to better serve our members and the community we must bring in more revenue through increased business and residential memberships. With this added revenue we can improve and update services to all members of our Chamber. Finally, my promise to you is that in 2015 we will work to find new ways for you to network with other members and have new opportunities to showcase and promote your business. We will provide educational opportunities and work hard to deliver information in the most current and effective manner possible.
I am excited about our future and I invite all residents and business owners to join the Chamber and help us work towards a better and more vibrant La Cañada Flintridge.
With heartfelt thanks,
Chairman of the Board of Directors
