In its short history, La Palma has seen its economy evolve from its dairy-based
agriculture roots to a modern commercial and industrial culture. The change
occurred simultaneously with the expansion and diversification in population
and has helped established La Palma as a successful, stable economic environment.
The city’s commercial areas are scattered conveniently throughout
the community. Among the major business sectors are those on Orangethorpe
Ave. at Centerpointe, on the corner of La Palma and Valley View St., and
La Palma south of Central Park.

The city’s major industrial development is Centerpointe, a striking
structure visible from the Riverside/Artesia freeway. Centerpointe includes
a luxury hotel, offices, restaurants light manufacturing firms, entertainment
venues and many other businesses.
