Home to some of the greatest golf communities in the world, La Quinta is proud to welcome golf enthusiasts year-round. In fact, The Robb Report named La Quinta as “America’s ultimate golfing destination.”
SilverRock Resort is the latest development added to the golfing community by the City of La Quinta. The public recreation and resort complex consists of 525 acres. The initial course, completed in January of 2005, is the first public-access course in the valley designed by part-time resident Arnold Palmer.
Golf is only the beginning of La Quinta’s many outdoor attractions. Tennis, biking trails, horseback riding and water sports are available at Lake Cahuilla Recreation Area.
The area is open year-round and offers camping, boating, fishing and hiking to its visitors. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking!
World-class events are frequently held in La Quinta including the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and the Skins Games which are enjoyed by residents and visitors every year along with the city’s water amenities.
Visit La Quinta, Adams and Fritz Burns Parks to enjoy the interactive water features. Or, go for a swim at the Fritz Burns Park pool.
