JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio offers a comprehensive array of healthcare services. In the specialty of orthopedics—specifically joint replacement, knee replacement and hip-fracture repair—JFK is rated 5-star in the nation for the third year by HealthGrades®, a leading independent hospital ratings organization. JFK’s services include a 24-hour emergency room, as well as a progressive intensive care unit. The hospital offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services, such as general, vascular and orthopedic care, including joint replacement, and sports medicine. Also available at the hospital are a new interventional cardiac catherization lab; vascular and radiology services; urology services; and a variety of diagnostic imaging services including MRI, CT scan, nuclear medicine and ultrasound.

JFK delivers nearly 300 newborns each month and in 2009 opened a 13-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that cares for premature and more fragile babies.

Near the hospital’s campus is the Sedona Surgery Center. Jointy owned by JFK and local physicians, the ambulatory surgery center provides outpatient surgery services.

The Bone & Joint Institute of JFK Memorial Hospital, located in the La Quinta Medical Center, is a JFK hospital- licensed orthopedic clinic with a focus on the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients with orthopedic, arthritis, osteoporosis, bone and joint disorders; sports medicine problems; and rheumatoid pain and related diseases.

Situated on a 130-acre campus in Rancho Mirage, Eisenhower Medical Center is a nonprofit healthcare complex with state-of-the-art diagnostic, treatment and emergency facilities. Serving the Coachella Valley since 1971, the campus includes the 313-bed Eisenhower Hospital, the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower, the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center at Eisenhower and the Betty Ford Center at Eisenhower. Desert Regional Medical Center, located in Palm Springs, is a 367-bed acute-care facility. The hospital’s Emergency/Trauma Services represent Coachella Valley’s only Level II designated trauma center. In addition to a full menu of routine hospital inpatient and outpatient services, the medical center offers specialty services, including the Comprehensive Cancer Center; Women and Infant Center including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Maternal Fetal Medicine Center for high-risk pregnancies; Bariatric Specialty program; Institute of Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences; the valley’s only acute inpatient rehabilitation unit; the Wellness Center; Health Key Plus senior program; and Healthy Beginnings maternity program.
