The La Quinta Senior Center is a community focal point, offering a wide range of services to adults 55 years of age or older. The center offers a variety of classes, seminars, special events and weekly programs with the added advantage of seminars and special events open to all adults.
Adults 55 and over are given priority registration status for classes and activities. Registration will be offered to adults under 55 if a class or activity fails to fill to capacity by the day before its starting date.
The Senior Center also operates as a “Cool Center” during the summer months when temperatures reach 105 degrees for three consecutive days of more. Anyone can then go to the Center to cool off and enjoy both water and snacks. The program is made possible thanks to a partnership with Riverside County.
