Referrals
The Livermore Chamber of Commerce receives about 5,000 requests each year for recommendations on goods and services to be purchased in Livermore. We refer only our Chamber members to these newcomers, visitors and area residents by using our membership database. The Chamber also serves as the visitor’s center for the area.

Membership Directory Listing
Included in your membership investment is an alphabetical and categorical listing for your business/organization in the Livermore Chamber of Commerce Resource Guide. This guide goes out every other year to the entire membership who is asked to use this resource prior to picking up the phone book. Over 10,000 of these directories are distributed throughout the community and are an integral part of the Chamber relocation packet.

Mixers
Each month the Livermore Chamber of Commerce hosts a business-after-hours mixer held at a different member location. The mixers are an excellent opportunity to meet other Chamber members on a social basis. The mixers are held on the third Wednesday of each month. In conjunction with evening mixers we will also host quarterly morning mixers, another option to network in order to make connections and grow your business.

Newsletter Publicity
The monthly Business Journal is published in The Valley Times and the Tri-Valley Herald. Your business is listed upon joining, and yearly upon renewal.

Web site Listing
Your business is listed on the Livermore Chamber’s fully optimized Web site. Members can be located alphabetically, by contact name or by business classification. These listings, as well as the link to your Web site, are free. Our Web site is currently averaging over 2,000 visits per month.

Information Resource
The Livermore Chamber of Commerce is here to provide your business with the necessary information, whether it be local, regional, state or national, to keep you aware of what is happening in business, and help answer your business-related questions.

Committee Involvement
Membership in the Livermore Chamber of Commerce provides you with an opportunity to get involved, if you so choose. Members are invited to join a committee and add their voice to an area of their interest.

Inexpensive Promotional Opportunities
The Livermore Chamber of Commerce provides its members with opportunities to promote their business in the monthly membership mailing, which is sent to more than 925 member businesses and representatives with flyer inserts.

Chamber Sponsorship
Marketing and advertising your company can be one of your greatest business expenses. By joining the sponsorship program at the Livermore Chamber of Commerce, you will have access to very creative and effective promotion opportunities to target your customers.

Certificate of Origin
The Chamber can authenticate these necessary forms for members who ship their goods and products outside of the United States. This service can be provided for businesses outside of Livermore.

SCORE
(Service Corps of Retired Executives) is a nonprofit association sponsored by the Small Business Administration. They provide free one-on-one business counseling by a successful retired executive at the Chamber office. A representative from SCORE can help you with all your business issues, including developing a business plan. To schedule an appointment, please call the Chamber office at 925-447-1606.

Promotional Displays
Only members can display their business cards and promotional materials in the Chamber office, giving your business exposure to thousands of visitors yearly.

Mailing Lists
The Chamber’s mailing list, available for purchase, of over 850 active members can give you direct access to a prime audience of business prospects.

Advertising Opportunities
Only Chamber members can advertise in the Chamber Resource Guide, the Chamber Newsletter and Chamber Map and Winery Guide.

Membership Plaque
Members receive a distinctive plaque, updated each year, for display at their place of business.

Seminars and Workshops
During the year, the Chamber will present or co-sponsor seminars and workshops on a wide variety of topics of interest to business people in Livermore, most at little or no cost. Watch the Chamber’s monthly newsletter or Web site for dates and topics.

Tax Deductibility
Membership in the Chamber may be tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense.

Grand Openings, Groundbreakings, and Ribbon Cuttings
Enjoy the visibility of these ceremonies with Ambassadors and community VIPs. The Chamber provides free newsletter coverage, including photos of these events, which are published in the Tri-Valley Herald and The Valley Times. These events are also promoted using social media tools.

Conference Room Use
Chamber members are offered the use of the Chamber conference room at reduced rates.

Film Commission
The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce has an active, successful film commission, which markets the Tri-Valley area for features, television and commercials. The commission has seen over 300 days of production since it was created. The economic impact has been significant for area businesses, hotels and landowners who are paid location fees.

Home Ownership Assistance
Chamber workshops help members and employees become homeowners through state and local programs, while promoting life in the Tri-Valley. Resource materials and training are also available to help HR departments recruit talented new employees. This has become a model program for other Chambers.
