Location and Transportation
Public transit is plentiful in the Livermore Valley. WHEELS provides local bus service throughout Livermore. WHEELS schedules are available on WHEELS buses, at the Livermore Chamber of Commerce or by visting www.wheelsbus.com. Call 925-455-7500 for further information.
The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station is located 10 miles west of Livermore. Transit service is offered to and from San Francisco weekdays 4:00 a.m. to midnight, Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to midnight and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to midnight. The Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train runs to and from Stockton and San Jose, with stops in between. For more information please call 800-411-7245 or visit www.acerail.com.
Livermore owns and operates the 590-acre Livermore Municipal Airport located at 636 Terminal Circle. It is a general aviation airport serving private and corporate customers. The facility has two parallel runways, a 5,255’ lighted main runway and a 2,700’ training runway, along with 24 city-owned operations buildings.
In addition to the city’s own airport, three international airports, Oakland, San Jose and San Francisco, are within an hour’s drive.
