Between 1980 and 1990, Livermore added approximately 4,853 housing units, and between 1990 and 2000, Livermore added approximately 5,018 housing units. In 2007, Livermore had an estimated total of 28,300 housing units. Between 2007 and 2015, the city’s population is expected to increase approximately eight percent.
In October of 2008, the median single-family home price in Livermore was $429,000 and $225,000 for condominiums. The average monthly rental rate for a single-family home is $2,000 per month, while condominiums and apartments average approximately $2,000 and $1,400 respectively, per month.
