Senior Services
Independent living apartments, assisted living, and long-term care facilities are all located in or near Livermore. Classes, special programs, daily lunch, information, referrals, classes and trips are all available through the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Senior Services Center. LARPD also is the resource for WHEELS passes and BART tickets. In addition, structured activities, socialization and specialized support programs for older persons are available through the Friendship Center. There are several retirement communities in the Livermore area offering senior services similar to those found in a fine resort, including restaurant-style dining, concierge and housekeeping services.
