The City of Manteca’s Parks & Recreation Department oversees 48 well-maintained neighborhood and community parksites, including the 30-acre Big League Dreams Sports Park with six ball fields, an indoor field house, batting cages and two restaurants and the 52-acre Woodward Community Park with six tennis courts and a pro center. The department also manages the Tidewater Bikeway—featuring a 3.4-mile Class I bike and pedestrian trail, the new 10-acre Spreckles Recreation Park and three-acre BMX Track, the multipurpose Senior Center, and the 18-hole Manteca Park Golf Course.

Caswell Memorial State Park, located along the Stanislaus River, is just minutes from Manteca. Guests take advantage of opportunities to fish, camp, swim, view wildlife or hike the beautiful nature trails meandering throughout the park. Also nearby is the 1,000 miles of Delta Waterways—the only real delta on the Pacific Coast of this hemisphere—which is a great place for water sports as well. Located 15 minutes north of Manteca are semipro teams—Stockton Ports baseball, ECHL Thunder hockey, Lightning football and Stockton Cougars soccer.
