Merced Chamber President Welcome Letter

On behalf of The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to Merced and the surrounding community. As Chairman of the Board of the Chamber, I am honored to be involved with an organization that promotes business, strives to foster economic vitality, and portrays a positive image of the community.

Merced is a “community at a crossroads” in its history. Our agricultural heritage is learning to share with industrial and educational opportunities. UC Merced has paved the way for growth and we, as a Chamber, are being presented with many opportunities to engage the citizens and the community with this growth. It is a time when we must be proud of all we have accomplished and yet realize that remaining complacent with our past will only destine us to miss the benefits the future will hold.

The Greater Merced Chamber is working hard for the business community of Merced. It needs the continued support of community leaders, elected officials, and concerned citizens. Whether you simply pay your dues, involve yourself in committee work, or participate in any of the other opportunities at the Chamber, you are important and together we can accomplish much.
