Merced County is home to the largest poultry producer in the world, the largest winery in the world, and the largest cheese producer in the world. Merced County produces 110 different agricultural products and is the fifth-largest agricultural county in the state.

The City of Merced is home to Malibu Boats, the No. 1 manufacturer of sports boats in the world. Every year since 1991 Malibu Boats has won awards for the excellence of its products. Every year since 2002 it has won the “Tow Boat of the Year” award. Malibu Boats is typical of the spirit of our City.

Quebecor World is the largest printing operation on the West Coast and is one of the largest employers in Merced County. The plant operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and serves 80 customers a year, specializing in directory, publication, catalog and commercial work.

Merced is also home to other excellent businesses and industrial companies. Both the City of Merced and the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce are looking to create relationships with businesses who would like to locate in Merced. The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce provides support and information that would assist businesses inquiring about our opportunities.
