Education

Monrovia Unified School District (MUSD) is a TK-12 district nestled in the San Gabriel Foothills. The District operates Bradoaks, Mayflower, Monroe, Plymouth and Wild Rose Elementary Schools; Clifton and Santa Fe Middle Schools; Monrovia High School and Canyon Oaks High Schools; Mountain Park (K-12) Independent Study Program; Canyon Early Learning Center; Monrovia Community Adult School; ROP programs and Village Extended School Program.

MUSD provides strong programs to help all students succeed — from preschool development programs and dual language programs to Advanced Placement college and career prep courses.

Student Success

• MHS Class of 1960, Thomas Sargent, was the 2011 Nobel Prize Winner in Economics.

• MHS scored in the top 10 nationally in the Skills USA Competition producing a promotional video overnight.

• MHS was selected as one of six schools nationwide to participate in a Question and Answer session with astronauts through a live downlink from the NASA International Space Station.

Program Success

• MHS is one of only a handful of schools within California that has its own Observatory on campus.

• MUSD schools (elementary–high school) have competitive Robotics programs.

• MHS Football has been CIF Champions for three consecutive years.

• The newly renovated, state of the art, performing arts center has hosted community theater productions of Music Man and White Christmas.

MUSD enjoys a strong partnership with the City of Monrovia, the Chamber of Commerce, as well as numerous philanthropic organizations committed to aligning community resources to benefit all students. For that reason, Monrovia is able to provide world-class schools for world class students.
