Montclair and its surrounding areas offer many opportunities for fun and recreation with local beaches, mountain and desert resort areas located within a one-hour drive. There are also several challenging golf courses located in nearby communities.

Thanks to the cooperative efforts of the San Bernardino Associated government and surrounding cities, the initial steps have been taken to construct a trail along the Pacific Electric Railway line. The Montclair portion of the trail, which will eventually run from Claremont to Rialto, is 90 percent complete and provides a recreation trail for cyclists, joggers, walkers and equestrians.

The Montclair Human Services Division has facilities available for rent and public use. The Community Center Auditorium/Kitchen can accommodate up to 400 persons, and conference rooms are also available. Located in the Recreational Facility is a Racquetball/Weight Room Complex, consisting of three racquetball courts, weight room showers, and sauna.

For bowling enthusiasts, Montclair is home to AMF Bowlium where bowling leagues and Xtreme Bowling are offered along with food and beverages.
