The Mission Tikki Drive In Theater, in continuous operation since 1956, is a local landmark that has preserved its past while moving into the technological present. Originally a one-screen theater, it was upgraded to four screens in 1975 and renovated in 2006. The theater shows first-run double features with a system that produces indoor quality images in a drive-in setting. During weekend daylight hours the theater is transformed into the Mission Swap Meet, one of California’s favorite open markets since 1960.
