ART ON F1RST www.artscouncilnapavalley.org Through a partnership with the Tourism Improvement District (TID) and the Property Based Improvement District (PBID), Arts Council Napa Valley coordinates and maintains art installations exhibiting in vacant retail spaces in Downtown Napa. Each year, ART ON F1RST's installations are selected by a committee of arts professionals. Work is displayed in eight-month cycles to revitalize and drive foot traffic to Napa's downtown retail corridor.

Napa ARTwalk
A rotating, temporary, outdoor sculpture exhibition showcasing a variety of three-dimensional artwork throughout Downtown Napa. Launched in 2010 in partnership with the City of Napa, ARTwalk was created to increase foot traffic in our downtown retail sector while providing an educational vehicle for understanding and appreciating the power of public art in our community. Complete with an audio tour (created with QR Codes, a new communication tool using Smart Phone technology), the self-guided tour creates unique interactions with the sculpture and viewer.

Napa Truffle Festival
A celebration of food, wine and most importantly truffles, the annual Napa Truffle Festival is presented once again by the American Truffle Company and will feature a unique gathering of leading truffle cultivation experts and scientists, along with internationally renowned Michelin-star chefs and special guests from the food and wine world. Events include Michelin Star dining experiences, cultivation and culinary seminars, cooking classes, a truffle orchard tour excursion, an epicurean marketplace and more. The Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon boasts one of the most beautiful courses in the world. The course runs the length of the famed Napa Valley wine-growing region and, except for the last half-mile, the entire course is rural. Runners are treated to panoramic views of the valley, flowering fruit trees and dormant vineyards carpeted with golden mustard flowers.


Arts in April

Chefs’ Market in Downtown Napa
Now in its 18th year, Napa’s most popular outdoor event combines food, wine and entertainment to make this one a signature Napa event. There are featured chefs’ demonstrations from some of the best chefs in the valley – and you are invited to enjoy and taste, with four musical stages and kid’s entertainment, too.


Auction Napa Valley
Auction Napa Valley is the world’s largest charity wine auction, having raised more than $100 million in 30 years for Napa County health, youth and housing nonprofit organizations.

Napa Porchfest
On a summer Sunday afternoon, there's music in the air, from Alta Heights to Old Town – live music by local performers playing on the front porches of homes throughout Napa's historic neighborhoods.

Napa Valley Annual Benefit Golf Tournament & Mixer www.napachamber.com
Join the fun in the BEST Benefit Golf Tournament in the Valley! This community fundraising event supports the efforts of the Napa Chamber Foundation whose mission is for betterment and advancement of educational, cultural and economic interests Valley-wide. This is a fun-filled day of good-natured competition and camaraderie providing extensive networking opportunities for participants, players and sponsors.

Festival del Sole
Napa Valley Festival del Sole takes place every summer in California’s beautiful Napa Valley. The festival features concerts by some of the world’s most celebrated musical artists, five-star cuisine, art exhibits and wines from Napa’s top vintners, blended in a unique celebration of the art of life. Shakespeare in the Park
A few weekends in July see a stellar cast in productions of the Bard; a collaboration with Shakespeare Napa Valley and Napa Valley College. These performances are all free in Veterans Park. The park opens for picnicking at 5:30 p.m. with "curtain" time at 7 p.m.

Blues, Brews & BBQ

Annual Napa Valley Aloha Festival
Traditional Hawaiian entertainment, music, hula, crafts, Hawaiian vendors and food, great raffle items and more! Bring your blanket or chairs and enjoy the day on the lawn at the Napa Expo. This is a kid-friendly, “green” event – no pets, alcohol, drugs or large coolers. Please bring a donation to support the Napa Food Bank. Enjoy the Spirit of Aloha in your own backyard.

Annual River Festival
One of Napa’s most celebrated musical events! This Labor Day weekend tradition continues with an evening concert on the banks of the river with the Napa Valley Symphony (performs from 7-9 p.m.), delicious food, fine wine and glorious fireworks (explode at 9:05 p.m.). Proceeds from the event support the Friends’ mission of restoration, conservation and responsible development of the river.

Napa River Wine & Crafts Fair
Celebrating its 35th year, this event has added music in a big way and a new location. Two hundred artists display unique, original handcrafted art and a kids’ craft area. Napa Valley wines make strolling down the street a summer delight.

Napa Valley Open Studios
Don’t miss this rare opportunity for two weekends in September to take a free, self-guided tour to visit the creative spaces of Napa Valley; meet the artists, learn about their process and purchase art right from the source!

Wine Country Film Festival
This popular roving festival takes place outdoors in spectacular settings and in select theaters and venues in Napa Valley, Santa Rosa and Kenwood, Sonoma Valley.

This free community calendar is a one-of-a-kind events hub, providing information on all of Napa Valley's daily cultural activities in a single click. Long after this second annual celebration ends, we invite patrons to continue to discover countywide events using this growing resource.


Flavor! Napa Valley™
A celebration of wine, food, fun – showcases the legendary food and wine talents of the Napa Valley – a region that earned 14 Michelin restaurant stars for 2011 – and offer a four-day series of epicurean and enophile events, hosted at the Silverado Resort and Spa and The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. Net proceeds from the event will support programs and scholarships at the CIA’s Greystone Campus.

The Napa Valley Film Festival
The Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) takes place in November in Napa Valley's picturesque communities of Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga. The five-day "extended weekend" features new independent films; studio sneak previews; conversations with the attending directors, actors, producers and writers; Opening and Closing Night festivities; Tribute and Awards Programs; wine tasting pavilions and culinary demonstrations; VIP receptions and dinners with Napa Valley's own celebrity chefs and winemakers and more.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, cookies and entertainment as Napa’s mayor lights the Christmas tree in Veterans Park.

Christmas Parade
Since becoming an evening parade, Napans have figured out how to add lights to any entry – cars, horses, even children. The floats get a little better every year!


Napa on Ice
A seasonal ice skating facility created just for the holiday season! The rink will be open mid-November through mid-January. Skate rentals available.
