It is with great excitement that we present to you our new business directory. And this directory is not only a business resource, it is a source of pride you can display that says, “Orange is the best place to do business!”
As you page through the colorful pages, hopefully you will learn something new about our community and like me, feel a renewed excitement about all that Orange offers – from our strategic location, to our excellent educational facilities, to our award-winning hospitals, to our diverse workforce and housing opportunities. And to top it all off, Orange has low crime and efficient city services that are unsurpassed in Orange County.
If you are already a member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce, CONGRATULATIONS! You are part of a proud 87-year tradition that the Chamber has in Orange. If you are not a member, you should be. You will be joining an exciting organization that is on the move to be an even greater voice for business in Orange. And especially in times of weaker economic performance, you can’t afford to miss the opportunities and resources the Chamber provides. Won’t you at least consider it?
It has been an honor to serve as your Chairman this past year, and know that the Chamber is in exceedingly good hands with your new Chairman for 2008/2009, Jeff Protzman.
HAPPY READING!
Dan Slater, Chairman, 2007-2008

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank you for your support of the Orange Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center.
The Orange Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is the leader in enhancing, promoting, and optimizing the business interests of our community. Our strength lies in the diversity and participation of our membership and our array of programs that offer something for everyone. Our mission evolves around five key focus areas: representing business to government, creating a strong local economy, providing networking opportunities, promoting the community, and influencing political action.
Like any great business, we continue to change and grow in response to the needs of our members and the community. One of our new initiatives this year is the formation of the Orange Chamber/City of Orange Economic Development Committee. This committee is partnership of private and public sectors working together to build a strong local economy. Other committees that support the business community are the Governmental Affairs Council and the Legislative Action Committee. I invite you to visit the Chamber Website at www.orangechamber.com to learn more on how these committees can support your business.
Members of the Chamber should know that there are just about as many ways to participate as there are membership categories. You really can make a difference by attending an “At Issues Luncheon” that interests you or a business networking mixer, or serving on a Chamber committee, and probably the easiest of all — supporting fellow members. Start by reviewing this directory and doing your part to support the Orange business community.
